Serve up the full seriesCozy fantasy romance with found-family warmth and court intrigue.
Catherine Bennett saves her boyfriend Mike with a marrow transplant, only for hormone treatment to push her weight to one hundred kilograms and Mike to repay her with betrayal. She kicks him out, then discovers Milo, a dragon cub, on her porch during a blizzard; the hatchling instantly imprints on her as mother. Milo's father, Kaelan Voss, Chief of the North American Dragon Council, hires Catherine as live-in tutor at the Council estate. She coaxes Milo out of grief-induced withdrawal while navigating lethal court intrigue: the maid Vera poisons the boy, Kaelan's uncle Desmond plots assassination and kidnapping, and the noblewoman Isabella colludes with Desmond to destroy the growing bond between Catherine and Kaelan. As suspicion shifts to trust and then to love, Catherine also regulates her health and refuses Mike when he later demands a second donation.
